When Trist plummets through the breached dome into the forgotten forests of the Old World, she doesn’t just discover nature: she crashes directly into Levi Tadashi. Levi is a fierce, earth-born survivalist who risks his life on scouting squads, searching for the brother the New World stole from him.
Together, they must navigate a breathtaking but brutal wilderness. They are hunted by the high-tech drones of a surveillance state and ambushed by feral outcasts who have lost their minds to the wreckage of past wars.
Yet, amidst the violence and the shadows, they discover something the New World tried to engineer out of existence: faith, hope, and an unforgettable, deeply human connection.

Hey there, I’m Taylor Zientek, the story writer behind my book, “Komorebi.” Growing up in the small town of Deer Park, New York, I found my voice not in words but through the strokes of visual art. I pursued visual arts in high school and college, which helped me find myself. However, I didn’t make it my career. I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stony Brook University and a master’s degree in early childhood education from St. Joseph’s College.
Anime and manga became my muse, sparking a creative journey that inspired me to write my book. From crafting my cousin’s Nagato portrait to immersing myself in the anime universe, every stroke and story reflects my persistent dream – to see my tale become an anime and a light for anime fans.
